GLIMMER MISTS WORKSHOP

Learn all about using glimmer mists, glimmer screens and other Tattered Angels products.  We will create several cards in this class, but these products can be used similarly on scrapbook pages.  Learn how to emboss glimmer screens; create colorful flowers and leaves that sparkle using glimmer mists; and how to frame your memories or fonts using their frames.  Add sparkle and fun to your cards and scrapbook pages with these fun products!

FLOWERS OF FALL

To me, the “flowers” of fall include everything from pumpkins to falling leaves to sunflowers and mums.  In this class we will create several cards using images of these ‘flowers” in stamps and die cuts.  We will add rich fall color using Copic markers; enhance our ‘flowers” with flower soft; and mount them on colorful papers from the new Basic Grey Indian Summer collection.  Come and have fun plus learn new techniques to enhance your own stamping!

Are you new to stamping?  Do you want to learn more about stamping and paper crafting, but you are reluctant to come to a class with more experienced stampers?  Then we have the answer.  This class is just for beginners so everyone will be on the same skill level!  In a very informative and fun setting, you will make simple cards that illustrate several stamping techniques and tools.  You can feel free to ask any questions you may have about stamping and upcoming classes.  Please join us for the fun!  Bring double sided tape and scissors to class.

TRAVEL JOURNAL IN MINI SUITCASE

My friend and customer Denise recently attended a workshop taught by Tim Holtz and she has agreed to teach the same workshop at The Stamp Act.  You will create a small travel journal that fits perfectly inside a darling mini suitcase! The pages are 2 1/2" by 3 1/2".  The journal is filled with pages and tiny page protectors all ready for your photos and journaling.  Each page is decorated with Tim’s hardware and flowers used in very creative ways!  This will be a very popular class so please register early to insure a spot.  Bring class kit.  I will send out a list of other supplies you will need to bring.

Denise designed a darling Christmas memory book that uses the same format as the Travel Jounral above.  You will create a small memory book that fits perfectly inside a darling mini suitcase! The pages are 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" and the memory book is filled with pages created from vintage Christmas papers and tiny page protectors all ready for your photos and journaling.  Each page is decorated with Tim Holtz hardware and flowers used in very creative ways!  This will be a very popular class so please register early to insure a spot.  I am still pricing the class but expect it to be around $35.  Bring class kit and ask for a list of other supplies to bring

DAY OF THE DEAD

Come the end of October, you may see scary Halloween skeletons lurking around neighborhoods.  But in our area Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) friendly skeletons are just as common. The Mexican holiday (Nov. 1 and 2) is dedicated to remembering and honoring the dead.  It is believed that the spirits of our loved ones return on these special days to be with family and friends.  We will remember family and friends by making several unique Day of the Dead cards.  Bring class kit.
